The Japanese company Suzuki is known initially for the motorcycles they produce. Lately though, the business is fast becoming known as a serious competitor in the global auto industry. Among the most up-to-date additions to its lineup could be the redesigned Suzuki XL7. The crossover was redesigned completely that even the vehicle’s name underwent a facelift. Previously known as the Suzuki XL-7, it is now known simply since the Suzuki XL7.

The redesigned crossover was created larger than its predecessor. According to Suzuki, the XL7 is 9.8 inches longer than is predecessor. This upsurge in length ensures that legroom inside the car is significantly increased. Its three rows of seating can adequately accommodate around seven people. Its second row of seats holds around three passengers and the rearmost seat was created to be occupied by two persons.

The construction of the XL7 and its predecessor is also Suzuki XL7 different. The previous XL-7 was built around a platform which it shared with the Suzuki Grand Vitara. The body-on-frame truck-based platform is replaced with a unibody construction. The brand new XL7 posseses an independent front suspension – something that its predecessor lacks.

Another improvement that Suzuki created using the crossover is to enhance the engine under its hood. The old crossover was built with a 2.7-liter V6 engine. That V6 engine can just only produce 185 horsepower which pales when compared with the brand new XL7’s engine. The brand new engine is just a 3.6-liter V6 engine by having an output of 252 horsepower.

The XL7 emerges in three trim levels – the Base, Luxury and the Limited variants. Whilst the XL7 can seat around seven passengers, Suzuki also provides a five-seater XL7. The brand new XL7 was designed for American car buyers, evident in how that space within the cabin is increased. With Suzuki’s collaboration with General Motors, it comes as no surprise that Suzuki would come out with a vehicle tailor created for Americans.

The bottom model of the XL7 offers plenty of features unlike base models offered by many car manufacturers which are stripped down versions of the real car. The top-of the-line Limited is loaded with features for passenger convenience and comfort that it can almost compete with entry-level luxury crossover SUVs.

The surface of the XL7 is fresh meaning that Suzuki can utilize the design concept utilized in the XL7 to be used on their other vehicles. This could let them have the distinction they surely want due to their vehicles. The surface of the car posses clean lines and a bulky look. The reason being the edges of the car were rounded off. Using aftermarket parts like Pacesetter exhausts can enhance the good looks of the crossover.

Safety features for the XL7 includes a security cage built into the vehicle’s frame. The construction of the safety cage absorbs the power developed by the impact on collisions but at the same time protects the passenger and driver within the vehicle. A four-wheel anti-lock brake system can also be a characteristic of the Suzuki XL7.
